Increasing comfort for computer usersThe Feldenkrais Method isn't about stretching or strengthening muscles. It about movement control. By influencing the motor control of muscles we can influence their length or action.
By learning how to use more of ourselves we can distribute our effort and our action, making our movements more efficient, easier or more possible.No. The Feldenkrais Method® can be of assistance in the early stages of acute back pain or following surgery as the approach is very gentle and is individually tailored. All movements are kept in your available comfortable range so it is suitable if you are experiencing pain or discomfort.
The group classes are not exercise classes so you dont need to be fit, nor flexible, for the movement explorations. Following the classes you might just find your ability to exercise improves!
